Yet another facet of Saya and Haji's complex relationship. I've been sort of exploring them for a while now, almost using them as architypes.

Here, a bond as deep as blood, as life itself is shared between these two people. Yet there is an distance, a lonelyness, a longing...

(BTW, Saya is a vampire, and Haji is her vampire servant. He often feeds her with his own blood to keep her from having to... obtain it from other sources. It romantic, really...)

That was the song I most listen to while painting this. It just seemed to fit it everytime it came on my Ipod... Maybe it's odd, but i often find songs I have in my library that take on new meaning when I apply them my current life, or what I'm working on at the time.

I do the same thing, or sometimes I will get so inspired by a song I have to listen to it until the piece is finished because nothing else fits it.

Lovely. And I love the song :)
But unspoken feelings between Saya and Haji (and not only them) in "Blood +" made me want to scream... and the lyrics you chose fit in quite well.
